These Maasai children were a joy to meet. They clearly have a depth to their life in so few years.
The Maasai women have a challenging life where they live in polygamous families, have to build their own mud home and are responsible for the entire raising of the children. They are powerful women.
Even as we toured this impoverished Boma (family dwelling) of the Maasai people, we saw kids that were so happy to see us and get their picture taken. This one boy photobombed almost every picture I tried to take with the biggest happiest smile of any child you can imagine. When I showed him his picture on the back of the camera, he nearly fell over with laughter and joy. Kids really remind us how simple human emotions can be. www.rajguptaphotography.com
